Trustees cite map, access and TIF concerns as commissioners consider Elyria annexation
Lorain County commissioners considered a Type 2 expedited annexation of roughly 65.2559 acres to the city of Elyria. Amherst Township trustees and county prosecutor’s office raised discrepancies between the legal description and survey map and warned of segmented roads and a 100% 30‑year TIF that would leave the township with minimal revenue.
