Chris Clark, an applicant for the Cascade SD 5 board vacancy, told the board he is "here to serve, I'm here to listen, and I'm here to learn" and cited deep community ties: three sons who attended district schools and years of volunteer work at Turner grade school, CASA and Salem Hospital. Clark also said he previously taught middle school and later held a leadership role in professional liability insurance where he led strategic planning and financial management.
