Council adopts Resolution 2‑2025 clarifying hiring authority for town administrator

Commissioner Brian Schmidt read Resolution 2‑2025, which amends the Town Administrator/Clerk job description. Attorney Lyndsey Ryan reminded the council that at a prior meeting they had voted to provide the Town Administrator with hiring authority, except that the Town Administrator position itself and the Water/Wastewater Superintendent position remain subject to council hiring authority; the council also retains authority over terminations and salary decisions for those positions. Commissioner Sullivan moved to adopt Resolution 2‑2025; Commissioner Chase seconded and the resolution was adopted unanimously.
