The Mayor and Board of Aldermen voted unanimously to send dispatcher Joanna Karras to Officer Involved Shootings and Critical Incidents dispatch training on July 14–15, 2025 at the Pearl Police Department. Chief Brad Burns recommended the training; the board approved payment of the $300 registration fee and all related costs allowed by state law.
