The Diboll ISD Board of Trustees voted 4-0 on May 7 to accept the results of the May 2, 2026 trustee election during a canvass meeting at the Diboll ISD Administration Office. The motion to "Accept the results of the May 2, 2026, Diboll ISD Trustees Election as presented" listed vote totals: Mike Terrell — 233 votes; Laurel Youngblood — 215 votes; Nathan Terrell — 164 votes; Aaron Smith — 136 votes; Andre Emmons — 125 votes. The motion was made by Roy Salazar and seconded by Nathan Terrell; the board recorded four votes in favor and none opposed.
