The Cross Roads Town Council accepted Councilwoman Housewright's resignation and unanimously appointed Kevin Nowak to fill the vacant Place 4 seat. Mayor T. Lynn Tompkins Jr. read the resignation and the council approved acceptance; members then voted to appoint Nowak, who has served on the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Roads Committee.
