Resident seeks update on water testing; city says TCEQ testing ongoing

Tony Brazell, a resident on North El Paso, used the public-comment portion of the Aug. 4 meeting to ask for an update on the city's water status and whether the city was continuing work on an extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) zoning ordinance. City Manager Mark Hall responded on the record: "The City is still conducting the required testing through TCEQ." Commissioner Tommy Brooks added that the county attorney had been instructed at a recent county commission meeting to work with the city attorney on the ETJ zoning ordinance.
