Commissioners received updates on multiple community grant opportunities during the July 22 meeting. The TN Main Street grant application deadline is Aug. 28; award announcements are expected Oct. 20 and contracts will be announced in January 2027. The commission was told the Kayak Grant is a two-part award and that the ARC portion "did not go through." LPRF funding remains available pending a late-July decision; if LPRF is approved the commission will need to rework the grant application to remove ARC funding and reinsert Resolution 2026-22.
