Deputy Superintendent Kim Fleener told trustees a court issued a temporary injunction blocking TEA from issuing 2023–24 A–F accountability ratings; she also reported LPAC additions to ESL counts and detailed beginning-of-year literacy assessment percentages for K–2.

Deputy Superintendent Kim Fleener told the board that a judge in the 2024 A–F accountability litigation issued "an Order Granting Temporary Injunction," which bars the Texas Education Agency from issuing A–F accountability ratings for the 2023–24 school year until a final judgment is entered; the trial is scheduled for Feb. 10, 2025.
