The Smith County Commissioners unanimously adopted the 2025 Region F Hazard Mitigation Plan by passing Resolution 25-06 during their May 5, 2025 meeting. Tom Chapman presented the plan and told commissioners the state requirement for hazard mitigation is completion of an Emergency Operations Plan; he stated Smith County’s plan is complete.
