MIS staff explained that the MIS department needs a lead-level position and recommended authorizing posting and hiring of a MIS specialist, which would be posted internally. "The recommendation is to authorize the posting and hiring of a MIS specialist," the MIS representative told the board, and noted the position requires a higher skill set for back-end projects and carries a one-grade difference from a technician.
