Board authorizes engineer to draft solar RFP; one supervisor objects
Springfield supervisors directed the Township Engineer to draft an RFP for a turnkey solar installation to capture potential federal incentives; the motion passed with Supervisor Bill Ryker casting the sole vote against it.

At the Aug. 26 meeting the Board discussed issuing a Request for Proposal for a turnkey solar installation to avoid missing potential federal incentives. The motion authorized the Township Engineer to draft the RFP using a draft provided by some board members; Mr. Hopkins moved the authorization, Ms. Yearwood seconded, and the motion carried with Mr. Ryker recorded as voting against it.
