Council OKs $398,350 engineering amendment for RM 1431 widening project

An amendment to the professional services agreement with Rodriguez Transportation Group was approved for up to $398,350 to support RM 1431 widening work, including a relocated detention pond, parcel acquisition and a shared-use path as proposed by TxDOT.

Council approved an amendment to a professional services agreement with Rodriguez Transportation Group, Inc. for the RM 1431 roadway improvements project (Bagdad Road to New Hope Drive) in an amount not to exceed $398,350. Capital Projects Manager Chris Brickey said the amendment responds to a new TxDOT scope that includes relocating the detention pond, acquiring parcels for right-turn lanes, and adding a shared-use path.
