Cedar Park Council backs CTRMA study for Ronald Reagan Boulevard over public opposition

The council voted 6-1 on March 27 to support a Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority traffic-and-revenue study to evaluate adding managed lanes on Ronald Reagan Boulevard; staff said the CTRMA would fund the study and any tolled lanes would be paid by toll revenue.

Cedar Park’s City Council voted 6-1 on March 27 to adopt a resolution supporting a traffic-and-revenue study by the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA) to examine additional phasing improvements on Ronald Reagan Boulevard from FM 1431 to I‑35. Mayor Pro Tem Eric Boyce moved the resolution and Councilmember Bobbi Hutchinson seconded; Councilmember Heather Jefts cast the lone vote against the measure.
