Calvert County to update Owings master plan and consider rezoning; kickoff set for Sept. 24

The Calvert County Department of Planning and Zoning announced it will update the Owings Town Center Master Plan and may consider rezoning the town center after gathering public input. An agency official said, "The Calvert County Department of Planning and Zoning is launching an update to the Owings Town Center Master Plan and is considering rezoning the town center based on your public input." The kickoff meeting is scheduled for Sept. 24, 2026, at Grace Brethren Church.
