Council Approves $189,451 Parkson Replacement After Bearing Construction Change

Town Administrator Erin Braband informed the council that Bearing Construction notified the town the influent bar screen originally slated for off-site refurbishment in Florida will instead be rebuilt on-site at no change to price. After discussing warranty and procurement implications, Commissioner Jeremy Newnam moved to change the award to Bearing Construction to a Parkson replacement (a new unit) in the amount of $189,451 rather than a refurbishment; Commissioner Walter Chase seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
