Trappe issues RFP for residential trash service with April award deadline
The council authorized issuance of an RFP for residential trash service; the current contract with Bigg Tyme Trash ends June 30, 2025, and the council plans to award the new contract April 2 so resident costs can be submitted to Talbot County by May 1 for inclusion on the July 1 tax bill.

Administrator Erin Braband told the council the current contract with Bigg Tyme Trash ends June 30, 2025 and that the town must put the service out to bid. "The Town must select and award the contract at the April 2, 2025 Council meeting so the residents’ cost can be provided to the County by May 1st to be listed on the real property tax bill sent out on July 1, 2025," the minutes state.
