On May 11, 2026, the Searsmont Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to accept a $8,500 bid from Walter Lamont to repair the Pond Rd S culvert. Two bids were recorded for that project — Walter Lamont and Whitcomb Contracting — each listed at $8,500; Selectman Milinazzo proposed awarding the work to Lamont "based on knowledge of his past work," and Selectman McCabe seconded the motion.
