SB877, a bill to increase Medicaid and home services funding contingent on obtaining federal matching funds, was the subject of testimony from the Department of Human Services and multiple stakeholders. Meredith Nichols of DHS stood on written testimony and the chair told the committee to note DHS's request of $6,700,000 in the committee report. Angela Melody Young, testifying for CARES, said the bill would help families amid federal SNAP reductions and argued the state should support home services to improve financial stability for low-income households.
