Several board members and residents said the complaint process as written in district materials is unclear and can deter parents from raising concerns. A Committee member described being given different processes in the teacher/employee handbook and the parent handbook and said that difference forced repeated back-and-forth steps. "I think the parent handbook...the process is so just overwhelming, time consuming, confusing that it's a deterrent," the Committee member said.
