Residents raise concerns about Anchor Run Farm MS4 project; engineer to consult DEP

Residents and Environmental Advisory Council members pressed the Wrightstown Township Board of Supervisors on a planned MS4 streambank restoration at Anchor Run Farm, saying many neighbors learned of the project only recently and are worried about sediment, property impacts and funding.

Scott McBurney of the Environmental Advisory Council summarized EAC discussions and Robin Hoy presented details about the proposed work. Several residents spoke in sequence: "She stated that she was not notified of this project until recently," and others described farming and property histories that they said could be affected by the project. Resident Kate Radicka asked whether the application could be withdrawn and how the unfunded aspects of the project could affect taxes.

Engineer Cindy VanHise traced the plan's origin to a 2017 design by earlier Township engineers and said CKS carried the design forward when it joined the Township in 2019. VanHise told the Board she would "ask the question when she speaks with DEP and whether the project can be redesigned" and would also inquire whether the window for completing an MS4 project could be extended.

Solicitor Vicki Kushto explained the procedural history of the engineer-prepared plan. The Board did not take formal action that evening; VanHise will follow up with DEP and report back at a future meeting.
