Trustees agreed Jan. 13 to maintain parallel parking on Main Street after a resident said he planned to erect private parking signs; the mayor contacted the sheriff and the board said it had not approved any parking changes.

Clerk Josie Hart told the Board that Justin Myers Jr. had left a voicemail saying he planned to put his own parking signs in front of his house. Hart reported: "he would be putting up his own parking signs in front of his house." Mayor Marilyn Lightsey said she had called the sheriff’s department and a deputy was supposed to speak with Myers.
