Assemblymember Addis presented AB 17-44, the CLEAR Labels Act, a transparency measure aimed at sunscreen labeling. "If products are marketed as reef safe or reef friendly, that it does not contain these chemicals," Addis said, framing the bill as a consumer-protection transparency effort rather than a ban.
