Councilman Merrill presented a draft ordinance to merge the Town’s Water Board and Roads Board into a single Public Works Board, saying the change could improve board efficiency. The Water Board expressed opposition, and Councilman Ellis cautioned that combining boards with different expertise could be problematic. Mayor Rok suggested the ordinance should specify a fixed board membership number instead of the current language of "up to 10." The Council agreed to hold further discussion at the Sept. 9 work session so Councilman Toolson could participate.
