The Wilmette Appearance Review Commission unanimously approved an Appearance Review Certificate for exterior building and landscaping modifications at 3232 Lake Avenue on May 4, 2026. Petitioners John Bradshaw, Colleen Smithe, Walter Smithe and Richard Grant presented plans that include power-washing and re-staining the storefront brick, applying a plaster finish to the rotunda and additional landscaping. Commissioner Doug Johnson moved to approve the certificate and the motion carried 6–0.
