At their April 21 meeting the Smith County Commissioners approved a $102,000 purchase of fuel from Bob's Inc. for county road operations. The purchase covers bids for 50,000 gallons of dyed diesel and 20,000 gallons of E‑10 gasoline; Bob's Inc. submitted the lowest per-gallon bids listed in the minutes (dyed diesel $1.40; E‑10 gasoline $1.60).
