Captain Kim Middleton briefed the commission on the Chatham County Police Department's support-services division, which handles property and evidence, records, accreditation, purchasing and other internal business functions. She said support services is primarily civilian-staffed and noted the division runs a tight operation despite small staffing (12 people, now 13 including a recent hire).
