Commission approved a slate of budget amendments for FY2025–26 covering general, highway, capital projects and school funds, including an amended capital projects increase from $24,972.00 to $28,650.00 after a second bid raised costs.

At its May 18 meeting, the Hawkins County Commission approved several budget amendments to the 2025–26 fiscal year budgets and estimated fund balances, including amendments for the general fund, highway fund, general capital projects fund, general purpose school fund and school transportation fund. Motions were moved and seconded by various commissioners; roll-call votes were recorded for each item.
