EAC advances Birdtown initiatives, plans native‑tree sapling outreach

The Springfield Township Environmental Advisory Council reported that Birdtown posters have been posted across the township and that three webinars are planned on native plants, township ordinances and the 'return on environment' program. The council also discussed a proposed nighttime 'blackout'—reducing lighting from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.—as a measure to support migrating birds.
