The Plain City Council moved and passed motions to set public hearings on August 11, 2025 for a package of planning and zoning-code amendments: neighborhood business district changes, central business district amendments, restricted industrial district changes, limited industrial district changes, and removal of the office/laboratory/research district chapter. Each motion was seconded and passed by recorded unanimous voice votes (reported as 5–0).
