During public comment Cindy Guilday thanked the Commission for its work on active-transportation projects and asked about a ribbon-cutting for the Utica Connection trail. Chair Shayne Boucher asked DPW staff and Laura Wiese‑Lopez confirmed that "a groundbreaking is scheduled for August 26th, 2026, at 11 AM" for the Utica Connection trail and said she would ask about a similar event for the Ballenger Creek terminus.
