Adult Protective Services Supervisor Daunita Maennle highlighted recent APS unit accomplishments, including staff participation in Special Olympics events in Swain County and the IOI Track and Field Day, where Social Worker Judy Newton supported clients and encouraged participation. Maennle also reported the APS unit took part in an Elder Abuse Awareness Walk in Cherokee County.
