The Reading City Council voted unanimously on Jan. 13 to adopt Resolution 2026-01, electing the annual exemption option under Public Act 152 of 2011, the Publicly Funded Health Insurance Contribution Act. Councilmember Matz moved the resolution and Councilmember Crank seconded; the roll-call vote recorded George, Crank, Gary, Matz and Mayor Penney voting yes (5-0).
