County Engineer reports flood-related closures, culvert washout and project timelines

Jul 28, 2026

Floyd County Engineer Adam Miller reported that recent heavy rains paused shouldering on B60, caused a washed-out culvert on 140th Street (between Indigo and Jersey Avenues), and prompted temporary closures that have mostly reopened; he also gave timelines for upcoming bridge and resurfacing work.

The full story

County Engineer Adam Miller told the Board that shouldering work on B60 remains paused due to recent flooding but is expected to resume next week. Heavy rains along the Cedar and Little Cedar Rivers produced several temporary road closures; Miller said all flood-related closures have reopened except for a washed-out culvert on 140th Street between Indigo and Jersey Avenues, which remains closed.
