County road staff and commissioners reviewed a cluster of maintenance and repair needs across Smith County at the April 13 meeting. Commissioner Kurt Ifland asked road staff to install a tube on 250 Road between G Road and H Road and flagged a settled driveway tube at the intersection of I Road and 190 Road that needs fixing. Assistant Road Supervisor Owen Wagner and Road Supervisor Travis Story discussed specific road segments — including AA Road (100–110 Roads), Q Road and 50 Road — and logistics such as asking Ace Irrigation to deliver a tube directly to a site and having driveways flagged where residents want tubing placed.
