Resident Dennis Dutchess used the public-comment period to raise three concerns: a persistent drain issue at the corner of White and Illinois that causes waterlogging and he asked the town to keep repairs a priority; questions about redevelopment of an old car wash into a pizza parlor and whether floodplain restrictions affect that project (code enforcement said renovations exceeding 50% would require bringing the property up to current standards); and concerns about political signage ahead of the upcoming election, urging the council to consider ordinance changes to ensure non-partisan campaigning.
