Council approves RFP and selection process for construction manager at risk on East Range water expansion
The council approved posting an RFP to hire a construction manager at risk (CMAR) for the East Range Water System expansion; consultant Jake said transmission-line work must be bid separately and estimated common preconstruction fees at $15,000–$25,000.

Bolton & Mink presented the proposed request for proposals for a construction manager at risk (CMAR) to support the East Range Water System expansion. The consultant said the CMAR would join during preconstruction to help with cost modeling, QA/QC and scheduling; he also noted the transmission line cannot be included in the CMAR contract and must be procured separately. "As part of this request for proposal, we are asking that they provide that preconstruction cost as part of the solicitation," Jake said, adding that many firms list preconstruction fees "ranging from like 15 to, I think it's like 25,000."
