Village hires Safe Step for $5,000 sidewalk repairs, approves Legion sidewalk patch

Director of Public Works Leitzinger presented the Safe Step sidewalk repair program used by nearby communities and recommended the village commit $5,000 to grind and fix the most hazardous sidewalk lips; the board approved hiring Safe Step for $5,000 to perform work in 2026. Leitzinger also brought quotes for localized fixes: $1,500 to repair a crack near the Legion building (approved) and a $3,075 quote to repair a cracked storm drain at BCN and Pleasant Street (the storm‑drain quote may change after in‑ground inspection).
