The Douglas County Board of County Commissioners on July 16 appointed committee members to draft official pro and con arguments for an advisory ballot question asking voters whether the Clerk and Treasurer offices should be separated. Clerk-Treasurer Amy Bergens told the board that under NRS 295.121 the board may appoint up to three members per committee and that the timeline is tight to meet printing deadlines for sample ballots.
