OSU reports six commendations, two recommendations from regional accreditation visit

Alix Gitelman, OSU's Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and accreditation officer, briefed the Academic Strategies Committee on the outcome of a recent seven‑year accreditation site visit by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Gitelman said the visiting team examined Corvallis and Bend campuses, interviewed trustees and stakeholders, and awarded six commendations alongside two recommendations for improvement; she added that OSU has plans already in place to address the recommendations and expects the final report in August.
