The Drexel Heights Fire District Governing Board adopted amendments to the district's Fire Code at the June 26 meeting by passing Resolution 2026-10. The amendments were described by Community Risk Reduction Director Dennis Stiegleiter as intended to align the district’s code with the Town of Sahuarita and Santa Rita Fire District so inspectors have a consistent standard. The motion to adopt was made by Board Chair Gary Bynum and seconded by Board Member James Bertrand; the measure passed 3-1 with Board Member Laura Dailey voting no.
