An AV‑Tech experiment to control stop-sign brightness failed; the board chose not to purchase timered replacement signs (four signs would cost $9,280) and removed the item from future agendas.

The full story

Shane Willis reported an AV‑Tech experiment to control the brightness of stop-sign lighting was unsuccessful and that AV‑Tech would not modify the existing signs. Willis presented two options: maintain the current signs and manage the lighting as needed or purchase replacement signs with timers. Willis said the overall cost for four stop signs was $9,280 (about $2,320 per sign), as noted in the Unaudited Financial Statements, and the board chose not to expend funds on replacements. The item will be removed from future agendas.
