Itasca County’s transportation staff reported on bids for the HSIP intersection-lighting project and recommended rejecting the bids after only one responsive bid was received. The engineer’s estimate for the project was $486,000; PEC Solutions LLC (dba Parsons Electric) submitted a single bid of $561,232. The board voted to reject the bids 4–0 and directed staff to consider modifying the schedule and rebidding to attract additional bidders.
