Planning director reports energy storage approvals, mobility plan progress and public engagement schedule

David Cary, Director of Lincoln-Lancaster County Planning and Development Services, gave the Board a quarterly briefing on March 26. He said both city and county approvals for battery energy storage system (BESS) projects are in place with no current appeals, and staff continue work on the comprehensive plan, long-range transportation plan and mobility plan, including completion of the travel demand model required for federal funding compliance.
