Webb County treasurer reports $287.6M portfolio, requests payment approvals

Webb County Treasurer Raul Reyes presented the county's monthly financial reports, outlining cash and investment balances and requesting approval of bills and disbursements.

Reyes said the county's cash balance as of Oct. 31, 2025, was $210,201,579.09 and the investment portfolio was $77,435,108.90 for a total portfolio of $287,636,687.99. He reported sales tax revenue for the month of October of $2,341,013 — $91,013 above projections — and noted interest income for the first month of the fiscal year of $754,279. Reyes asked commissioners to approve 251 checks and 146 electronic fund transfers covering hundreds of invoices and to ratify previously released checks; the court approved the payment motions by voice vote.

Reyes also described a parking‑system invoice for a flash parking system that is pending auditor approval; the treasurer requested authorization to include 50% of that invoice in the approvals. On payroll, Reyes reported disbursements totaling $5,546,904.57 for the Oct. 31–Nov.13 pay period and noted actual Casablanca Golf Course payroll of $40,577.45 (with an authorization not to exceed $45,000 for the upcoming pay date).
