Council unanimously approved an ingress/egress easement allowing the Reading Youth Softball/Baseball Association to access future ball fields west of Magic Square and authorized Mayor Penney and City Manager/Clerk/Treasurer Kimberly Blythe to sign the easement.

The council approved an ingress/egress easement on Aug. 12 to provide access to future ball fields planned west of Magic Square for the Reading Youth Softball/Baseball Association (RYSBA). Crank moved and George seconded the authorization for Mayor Penney and City Manager/Clerk/Treasurer Kimberly Blythe to sign the easement; the roll-call vote was recorded as unanimous among members present (3-0). The minutes note RYSBA paperwork had been reviewed by the city attorney and found to be in order.
