Webb County seeks construction manager to speed stalled projects
The commissioners authorized the purchasing agent to solicit RFQs for a construction management firm to supervise Webb County construction and infrastructure projects, saying a consultant could help push delayed ARPA and fairgrounds projects while the county continues recruiting an internal manager.

Judge Donald Tequirina told the court he wanted a construction manager on the ground to help move projects that are behind schedule while the county continues its internal search. "I bring this up because I think it is important that we're while we're looking for a person, a man to man that particular position, I also still feel like right now, it's kind of like I feel in my office I'm noticing that we're having a lot of problems moving some of these projects forward," the judge said, arguing for a consultant to 'bring us back on track.'
