The Historical Committee scheduled a meeting for Aug. 4 at 7:30 p.m. and discussed county conservation and historic-preservation efforts, according to Mr. Graves. An Open Space Committee meeting (President Hines, Council member Taylor and Council member Gallagher) was scheduled for Aug. 6 at 6:00 p.m.; the Environmental & Conservation Committee will meet Aug. 11 at 7:00 p.m. President Hines noted oak seedlings would be available for planting as part of open-space work.
