Oneida County adopts $5 daily fee for Sand/Dam Lake boat launch

The Public Works Committee recommended creation of a $5 daily boat launch fee at the Sand/Dam Lake boat launch in Sugar Camp and moved the ordinance amendment forward for Board action. The ordinance text specifies: "A daily boat launch fee of $5.00 shall be charged for the access and use of the Sand/Dam Lake boat launch in Sugar Camp." The committee cited the need for revenue to maintain, upgrade or replace launch components and recommended that the Highway Department manage the site.
