The court voted July 28 to authorize the purchasing agent to solicit formal proposals for a 13‑month service agreement supplying GPS trackers, dual‑facing cameras and related monthly services for Webb County Sheriff patrol units. Commander Calderon told the court existing asset trackers are five to six years old and the department is operating on a month‑to‑month arrangement with the current vendor.
